A live-music field journal

GOT PLACE
TO GO

Music isn't just a part of my life - it's the raw energy that fuels it. The constant companion that drives my journey, the rhythm that keeps me moving forward. Because "when I've got the music, I've got a place to go."

Iron Maiden 666

The Number of the Beast

Quantity was never the goal - but every show leaves me hungry for one more. So I keep going: new bands, the bands I love, the bands I've seen a dozen times. It makes me genuinely happy to watch these talented people who decided to spend their lives turning their music into the soundtrack of ours. Still - here it is, my whole concert life in numbers 🤘😎

All I Want

My Top 25 hit-list of bands I still want to see live. Catch one and it stays on the list marked ✓ - I retire it and add a fresh target when I'm ready.

Rancid 05

I Wanna Riot

These two compilations are where my punk education began. Somewhere in those tracklists I got the idea to see every band on them live - and started ticking boxes. Some I figured I'd never catch (good luck hearing a 30-second song played live)... but a few came as cool surprises, and I've bagged some, like AFI.

About Me

When I've got the music, I've got a place to go.

From the first blast of pure punk energy to the unforgettable rock vibes that stay with me long after the show ends, and the heavy riffs of metal that get my blood pumping, music has always been the fuel that keeps me alive. It's the chaos, the rage, the power, and the soul of everything I do.

I've lived in different parts of the world, and every new city or country has added its own fire to the mix. Whether it's the pulse of a live punk show, the soul of rock, or the energy of a metal gig, every place I've been has had its own sound. Travelling and living in these places means discovering more music, feeling its pulse in every corner, and realising just how deeply music and travel are intertwined. Every new city brings new sounds, new bands, and chances to catch shows I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

This site is where I share that journey - through the anthems that define my life, the concerts that will forever stay in my memory, the cities that shaped me, and the sounds that continue to fuel my passion. Every place, every beat, every show is a chapter in my life's soundtrack.

So let's pump up the volume, turn the page, and explore the music that makes life unforgettable.
